The library has over 15,000 books in English ranging across various subjects.
The collection includes classics and books from authors around the world like Mark Twain, Cervantes, Alexander Duma, Leo Tolstoy, Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, Jane Austen and many more. The library has many English translations of such great works available.
The library has books by writers from India who write in English, often termed as ‘Indian English Literature’, a genre of books which has become admired in its own right today. There are books from pioneers like Mulk Raj Anand, R K Narayan and Raja Rao to Anita Desai and Nayantara Sehgal to more contemporary authors like Arundhati Roy, Amitav Ghosh, Vikram Seth and others.
The library has an extensive collection of biographies of people from all walks of life – political leaders, literary figures, sports persons, musicians, actors, philosophers, saints, etc. from previous eras to contemporary.
The library has an extensive collection of books on Indian and world history, civilization and politics.
The library has a rich collection of books by great Indian philosophers like S Radhakrishnan, J Krishnamurthy and books on western philosophy as well. There are books by spiritual leaders like Aurobindo, Ramakrishna Paramhamsa, Swami Chinmayananda, Osho and likes. There are books on various aspects of Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.
Books on architecture, sculptures, decorative arts, paintings and music, dance, theatre, etc. are available.
Many other books on subjects like leisure and recreation, health and fitness, yoga, motivational reading, etc. are also available.
